While portraying herself as anti-war and pro-environment candidate, Fatima self-funded her two failed Assembly campaigns with over $500,000 of personal funds — including money from defense contractor Raytheon, where her husband is employed. This corporation has billion-dollar contracts with the Trump Administration, builds weapons and military equipment for foreign dictators, and has been fined millions for breaking the law, including violating clean water laws.
Fatima was found in violation of California’s Political Reform Act by the Fair Political Practices Commission for failing to disclose her spouse’s significant income from Raytheon Intelligence & Space.
Fatima hypocritically claims to take no corporate or special interest money and has called to demilitarize the planet and defund the Pentagon — while simultaneously profiting from defense spending and using that money to fund her political campaign:
